referral terms

dated october 24, 2026.good practice, not required

every line below names the law it comes from. “good practice” means no law requires it of us today, and we do it anyway.

how it works

it’s free to refer. you don’t have to buy anything to send someone our way.Cal. Penal Code § 327; Cal. Civ. Code § 1770(a)(17)

sign up with your name and email, so we can send your voucher. then tell people about us. when they write to us or book a time, they put your name in “who sent you?”.good practice, not required

we never ask you for their details, and we don’t contact anyone for you.good practice; keeps us clear of Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17538.41(a) and 15 U.S.C. § 7704

when they pay for their first service, they get $100 off that service.15 U.S.C. § 45(a)(1); Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17500

the $100 comes off our normal quote. we don’t raise the quote to cover it, and the quote shows it as its own line.16 C.F.R. §§ 233.1(a), 251.1(b)(1); Cal. Civ. Code § 1770(a)(13)

once that first service is paid, we email you a $100 voucher.Cal. Civ. Code § 1584

who counts

you earn only for people you refer yourself, not for people they refer.Cal. Penal Code § 327

they must be new to us: never paid us for a service, and not already talking with us about one.good practice, not required

you can’t refer yourself or your own business.good practice, not required

one reward per new client. if two people are named for the same person, the first name we got counts.good practice, not required

up to 10 rewards per person per calendar year.good practice, not required; keeps rewards under the reporting line in 26 U.S.C. § 6041(a), as amended by Pub. L. 119-21 § 70433

the voucher

it takes $100 off one service you buy from us, used all at once.good practice, not required

it expires 12 months after we send it. the date is at the top of the voucher in capital letters.Cal. Civ. Code § 1749.5(e)(1)

it has no cash value and can’t be swapped for money.Cal. Civ. Code § 1749.5(e)(1)

it’s yours: it can’t be sold or passed on.good practice, not required

one voucher per service. vouchers don’t stack, and they don’t combine with other offers.good practice, not required

if their first service is fully refunded, an unused voucher is cancelled. if you already used it, we won’t take it back.good practice, not required

if you post about us

say in the post itself that you get $100 off if someone you send hires us. for example: “i get $100 off if you hire them through me.” not just in your bio, and not behind “more”.16 C.F.R. §§ 255.5(a), 255.0(f)

only say what’s true for you. don’t promise results or prices for us.16 C.F.R. § 255.1(a)

if we see a post without that note, we’ll ask you to fix it. if it isn’t fixed, we may stop rewards for new referrals.16 C.F.R. § 255.1(d)

the reward is for referring, never for a review. a review can say anything.16 C.F.R. § 465.4

the rest

we don’t give tax advice. a reward may count for your taxes; ask a tax pro.good practice, not required; 26 C.F.R. § 1.61-1(a)

we may change or end this program. we’ll post the change here first, with its date. vouchers already sent stay good until their date.Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1584, 1586

referrals we got before a change count under the terms in place when we got them.good practice, not required

a question or a problem? write to our front desk. we’ll answer within 7 days and try to fix it. nothing here takes away your rights under california law.Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1751, 1782
